As shown in Figure 8(a), the first principal stress
is increased with the vertical depth, and stress
reducing is happened at the shallow slope. The
maximum value of first principal stress is about
45 MPa, appeared at the bottom of river bed. The
third principal stress is influenced by the faults,
and stress concentration is happened at the nearby
of faults. Figure 9(a) shows the numerical simula-
tion results of the maximum horizontal stress, and
Figure 9(b) shows the numerical simulation results
of the vertical stress.
