57Don’t Use E-Mail

Getting lulled into thinking that e-mail is the be-all, end-all of communication tools can get you into trouble. There are times when sending an e-mail is not the best way to communicate. Here are a few examples.

Time-sensitive subjects. Even though technology makes it possible for almost everyone to get their e-mail practically anyplace and anytime, don’t assume that just because you send it, they will open it. If your matter is urgent or highly time-sensitive, contact the other person by phone as well.
