Calling SQL and stored procedures from Java

Sometimes we just want to use SQL statements. Maybe we have an existing query that is just too complicated to convert to HQL, or there is an existing stored procedure we want to utilize. Fortunately, Hibernate allows us to use native SQL as well. Hibernate documentation on the topic can be found on the Hibernate documentation site at http://docs.jboss.org/hibernate/core/3.3/reference/en/html/querysql.html.
