ABSTRACT: The development of family business is significant in promoting China's economic transformation and the stability of national economy. Using listed family firms from 2010 to 2018 as a sample, we explored the different effects of family shareholding ratio on the development of family business and analyzed the internal mechanism. We found that family shareholding ratio promotes short-term development of the firm, social responsibility and R&D play an intermediary role in it.
