1. As there are significant proportions of illegal and/or undocumented migrants among the migrants, we feel that putting numbers about the magnitude of migrations from different countries of South Asia in the continuing flow of migrants will not be a very fruitful exercise. There is an informed conjecture that about 60 million South Asians constitute the overseas diasporas and migrant communities of South Asian peoples in different parts of the globe.
