K3s Advanced Configurations and Management
This chapter covers more advanced configurations for your K3s clusters. By default, K3s includes a load balancer called KlipperLB, but it has some limitations. For example, you don't have to repeat a port while creating a service, and it affects the way that you use a regular load balancer and NodePort service. It works well for simple deployments. In case you need another load balancer instead of Klipper, we cover how to install MetalLB, a bare metal load balancer. Then, we cover how to use advanced storage configuration to support read/write access modes for storage volumes with Longhorn, substituting the default local storage class provided by K3s.
