support from deep-water port and coastal indus-
try, so as to undertake the ‘gradient transfer’ of
the industry, and drive the economic development
in the middle and northern Suzhou. Recently, it
mainly relies on Yancheng city, and regional ‘dou-
ble-core’ model is formed in Dafeng port, while
in the future, it will form complementary ‘large-
triangle’ spatial structure, and construct Yanhuai
metropolitan region by relying on ‘Yancheng met-
ropolitan region, Huai’an metropolitan region-
Binhai metropolitan region and Fafeng Port
city’ as well as the secondary urban group and
port group, thus to become the provincial fourth
growth pole with comprehensive emissive power
of social economy.
