Reporting Computer Crime

Suspected computer crime should be reported to the appropriate law enforcement entity. Depending on the scope of the crime, the report may be made to authorities at the local, state, federal, or even international level. Typically it is best to start at the lowest level, unless the need for higher involvement is readily apparent. Pre-coordination efforts with law enforcement will help to identify at which level reporting should be initiated.
