Interact, Discover, and Reflect
This section is about the role of the interviewer in affecting the responses of the interviewee. Despite the need to be structured, systematic, and calculated, the interview is not a cold, sterile process. The interview is interplay. In fact, the value of the interview resides in the dialogue that defines the interplay. This section offers advice on how to conduct the interview in order to squeeze as much value out of the interplay as possible. Section I told us how to plan and design the interview to optimize its validity or accuracy. This section focuses not on what questions to ask but rather how to ask them.
