Creating Custom Reports in Xero Using the layout editor

As you have seen in Chapter 13, Xero does a great job of giving you the basic reports. Now, they even have common formats – which we introduced in Chapter 13, (see Figure 13.10) – that you can choose and use immediately, but sometimes you need more. You may need to build a summary of Profit and Loss or a specialized schedule, which is like a report on certain balance sheet accounts, and all of that can be done with the layout editor, a reporting design tool embedded in Xero.
