Anhang B. Python 3 installieren
Die meisten Beispiele in diesem Buch wurden mit Python 3.7 geschrieben und getestet, der aktuellsten stabilen Version zum Zeitpunkt der Erstellung dieses Buches. Die Seite "Was ist neu in Python"zeigt, was in jeder Version hinzugefügt wurde. Es gibt viele Quellen für Python und viele Möglichkeiten, eine neue Version zu installieren. In diesem Anhang beschreibe ich einige dieser Möglichkeiten:

Eine Standardinstallation lädt Python von python.org herunter und fügt die Hilfsprogramme
pipundvirtualenvhinzu. -
Wenn deine Arbeit stark wissenschaftlich geprägt ist, solltest du Python lieber mit vielen wissenschaftlichen Paketen von Anaconda bündeln und dessen Paketinstaller
condastattpipverwenden.
Unter Windows gibt es kein Python, und macOS, Linux und Unix haben meist veraltete Versionen. Bis sie aufholen, musst du Python 3 selbst installieren.
Überprüfe deine Python-Version
Gib in einem Terminal oder Terminalfenster python -V ein:
$ python -V Python 3.7.2
Je nach Betriebssystem bekommst du eine Fehlermeldung wie " Befehl nicht gefunden", wenn du Python nicht hast oder das Betriebssystem es nicht finden kann.
Wenn du Python in der Version 2 hast, möchtest du vielleicht Python 3 installieren, entweder systemweit oder nur für dich in einer virtuellen Umgebung (siehe "Virtualenv verwenden" oder "Virtualenv installieren"). In diesem Anhang zeige ich, wie du Python 3 systemweit installierst.
