In this chapter, we learned how to create backups of our cluster; we created a backups repository, we created backups, and we managed them. In addition to this, we learned how to monitor our cluster using the Elasticsearch API, what the cat API is, and why it is more convenient for usage from a human perspective. We also controlled shard allocation, learned how to move a shard around the cluster, and controlled cluster rebalancing. We used the warmers functionality to prepare the cluster for production queries, and we saw how aliasing can help to manage the data in our cluster.
