Some instrumentation cable standards are presented in Tables 10.18 and 10.19. One type of
instrumentation cable includes those covered in NEC Article 725, Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3
Remote-Control, Signaling, and Power-Limited Circuits. There are four main cable
designations or classes associated with that Article including:
1. Circuit integrity (CI) cable is utilized to assure survivability and operation under fire
conditions for a remote control, signaling, or power-limited system critical circuit.
