result in the super-saturation of salt. In addition, the low saturation concen-
tration of K

in water (0.63 M) at room temperature means it will become
super saturated easily. The salting problem can be overcome by using a suit-
able salt with a higher solubility, or apply CEM and AEM with a higher
perm-selectivity.
