Figure 4.12b shows the chronoamperograms at 0.75 V for 8 h at 60°C with
O
2
-fed cathode mode for various carbon-supported Pt (20 wt%) cathode cata-
lysts. It was found that the HMC-supported Pt catalyst exhibited both higher
initial and nal current response within the test period, suggesting it was
signicantly more active with respect to ORR than those VC-supported. A
steady state was reached after about 4 h for the Pt/HMC catalyst, while the
current response continued to decay for those VC-supported, indicating the
former is more stable under the same cathode working conditions. ...
