Abstract
The present study delves into the complex terrain of privacy concerns in the context of digital forensics. Due to the widespread use of digital technology in modern life, there are serious privacy issues while gathering and analyzing digital evidence for investigative purposes. This study explores the ethical and legal issues surrounding digital data collection, archiving, and use. It also looks at problems with data protection legislation, individual privacy rights, and the Fourth Amendment. It thoroughly examines the difficulty of finding a middle ground between protecting people’s right to privacy and the crucial function that digital forensics plays in criminal investigations. Additionally, the study looks into cutting-edge technologies that make privacy issues in the forensic process worse, like data anonymization and encryption. The analysis also considers how changing legal frameworks and court rulings impact the limits of digital forensics processes. The results offer significant perspectives for legal experts, legislators, forensic investigators, and scholars navigating the complex relationship between technology, privacy, and the law.
