In Part 3, we are going to shift from focusing on ourselves to focusing on others. In particular, we will explore the emotional and social skills that support relationships.

Leading others is all about relationships. If we build solid relationships with team members and other project stakeholders, we improve our ability to lead. Without relationships, leadership is difficult or impossible.

Relationships build on the foundations of emotional self-mastery that we established in Chapters 3 and 4.
