Determining Project Goals through Analysis

 

 

Introduction

You have a client who is really looking for results, who wants you to be more rigorous, more thorough, and more effective about the “serious” part of your serious game. How do you incorporate instructional design into your design process while sidestepping the game-design-versus-instructional-design conflicts described in the previous chapter?

The answer is twofold:

•   Find instructional design specialists who are sensitive to deadlines and understand that their job is to uncover relevant data to inform the overall game design.
