This chapter focuses on the processes of an enterprise. It provides insights on optimizing processes for enhancing agility in an enterprise. A process can be defined as a series of coordinated activities designed to achieve a specific outcome. Going by this definition, anything that needs to be produced/created should have a process. In other words, a process defines the how of production / the creation of output.
Processes are important in all enterprises, including those with greater agility. The difference is that in such firms, processes are designed and modified as needed to serve the needs of the staff and the goals of the organization, not the other way around.
