10.1. Introduction

Up until this point we have examined how the EAI problem can be solved by connecting two applications together directly or through a declarative processing environment. Both of these solutions move toward relieving the problem by making the solution more flexible and maintainable, but still requiring maintenance when changes occur. This chapter introduces the concept of using dynamic applications to provide us with the seamless integration we desire from EAI.
