Reverse authentication proxy
Since a Web sites content may span multiple Web servers for performance and
content distribution, Web Traffic Express may be used as a reverse proxy to the
back-end Web servers so that the user believes the Caching Proxy is the content
server.
The reverse proxy performs user authentication based on HTTP authenticate
headers. In a domain where the authentication proxy is installed, no other origin
server (content or application server) in this domain may do its own user
authentication.
