Chapter 30. Building Layered Architectures for EJB Systems

In a previous chapter, we laid out the requirements and design of our case study and, in the last few chapters, you've learned a great deal about how to develop EJBs. Now it's time to put everything you've seen together into a single perspective. In this chapter, we'll examine how to build a complete domain and mapper layer using EJB technology. In the next chapter, after we've seen how the groundwork has been laid by building the domain and mapper layers of our application, we'll examine the design of the user interface of our case study.

Figure 30.1 shows where we fit in our architectural road map as we examine session beans, CMP entity beans, and POJOs.
