5.7. Breaking Down Maintenance Logs
Chances are you see your doctor at regular intervals. The dentist you'll see every six months, and the family physician you'll see every year. Just as your body needs to be maintained in regular intervals, so must your computer. Maintenance scripts run at scheduled times, and if one is missed, much like a doctor's appointment, it is usually scheduled for the next available time. Maintenance scripts need to be run because they log what devices were plugged into a system, they back up the user database, and they do much more.
