Just as the Sampling Activity and Sample Step are kinds of Activity, so too are the Laboratory Test and the Laboratory Test Step, as shown in Figure 17-4. Test Method and Test Procedure are both Activity Specifications. As with Sample Method Step, since Test Method Step is part of an Activity Type that is a Test Method, and is the use of an Activity Type that is a Test Method Procedure, Test Method Step is clearly a sub-type of Activity Specification Structure.

And of course, the detailed relationships are sub-types of the more general relationships as well.
