Summary

This example of making a model more concrete for a particular company consists of simply breaking the standard Asset into progressively greater detail as sub-types. Note that, as with many real projects, we didn’t start with the standard pattern. We started by talking about something of significance to the pharmaceutical company—chemicals. Only after we had come to understand the nature of the model did we recognize that these are indeed instances of an important part of the Level 1 model pattern.
