Since each Well Assembly is custom-made to fit in a particular Well, the concept of a Well Assembly Specification differs from that of a Product Model, in that the latter describes a mass-produced product, like a computer, while the former is a design for a Well—to be built only once. The specification for a Well Casing is described by a unique set of Asset Characteristic Values of appropriate Characteristics. Figure 21-12 shows first how each Well Assembly Specification (among others) may be described by one or more Asset Specification Characteristic Value, each of which must be of one Asset Characteristic.
