As with Parties, the variety of Geographic Location Names calls for a separate entity class, as shown in Figure 5-4. As an analogy to what was previously seen for Party, Geographic Location may be labeled with one or more Geographic Location Names. Each Geographic Location Name must be an example of one and only one Geographic Location Name Type.
Note that each Geographic Name may be specified by a Party. For a Management Area, the name might be assigned by the company itself (as in a company’s designating “South Central Sales area” as the name of sales region), or the U.S. Department of Defense designating the countries that surround the Pacific “USPACCON”.
