Derived Characteristics

While many Asset Characteristics are evaluated with data from other sources and then stored, some are derived from other Asset Characteristics. For example volume may be calculated by multiplying height times width times depth. While formulae can be very complex, the technique called Reverse Polish Notation, as previously described for derived Party Characteristics, is a way of representing them so that they can easily be evaluated.
