Defining Activities

Figure 7-1 shows Activityan action taken. An Activity must be one of the following:

·         A Production Step – An Activity undertaken at a particular time to manufacture a quantity of an Asset . It is the implementation of a Procedure that is used in a Routing Step. (See Chapter 16.)

·         A Maintenance Task - An Activity authorized by a Maintenance Work Order to fix, install, or replace a Discrete Item, such as a Piece of Equipment. (See Chapter 16.)

·         A Cleaning Activity – The removal of dirt or debris from a Facility. (See Chapter 16)

·         A Laboratory Test – A collection of Procedures that is the use of a Measuring Instrument to determine a numerical value of an Asset Characteristic of a Sample material. ...
