A more general approach is shown in Figure 7-5. Here an Activity Structure is the use of a particular Activity in another Activity. Of particular significance is the sub-type, Work Breakdown Structure to describe one Activitys being part of one or more other Activity.

Similarly, an Activity Type Structure is the use of a particular Activity Type in another Activity Type. In particular, this allows a Work Breakdown Type Structure to describe one Activity Type as being part of one or more other Activity Types.

Note that this approach permits an Activity to be the use in (part of) more than one other Activity. Each Activity Specification has a similar structure.
