Activity Roles

People and organizations play various kinds of roles in carrying out activities (as shown in Figure 7-10):

·         If the Activity is a communication, then the Activity Role sub-type of a Communication Role determines whether the Party originated, received, or simply participated in the communication.

·         If the Activity is a production step, that is producer of an asset, then the Activity Role may be a Direct Action, recording the actual hours worked on the production step between the Effective Date and the Until Date of the Activity Role.

·         Regardless of the kind of Activity that is involved, a Person (less commonly, an Organization) can play a Management role.
