Thing Characteristic Constraints

So far the model has shown complete freedom to describe a Thing with values of any Characteristics imaginable. In point of fact, only certain characteristics are appropriate to examples of each Thing Type, depending on what kind of thing it is. If you are talking about an Asset or an Activity, then certain Characteristics are identified as part of the Thing (Asset or Activity) Specification. In specifying a telephone Service, characteristics such as “communication speed”, “monthly cost”, and “per minute cost” might be appropriate.
