There is something about version numbers. They are significant in one way but on the other hand, they tend to trivialize and preempt fundamental innovations. Before we can even comprehend Web 2.0, Web 3.0 is on us and people are talking about Web 4.0. The conventional wisdom is that Semantic Web definitely is part of Web 3.0.
