Judging by the popularity of Shark Tank and Dragons’ Den, people have dreams about running their own business. After all, wouldn’t it be great to work for yourself or to be rich? I’m here to tell you that it’s not that easy. Consider these ten reasons not to start a business.
Because Everyone Is Doing It
It does seem as though everyone is starting a business, from the paper boy down the street who just opened a web-design shop to the paper boy’s mom who finally started that public relations firm. While there’s nothing wrong with wishing and hoping, bear in mind that talking about starting a business is easy; actually starting a business is hard work. There is no such thing as work-life balance with entrepreneurs. If you’re feeling pressure from all the newly minted entrepreneurs out there, take a breath and make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons.
