Challenges relating to data and system delimitation in Life Cycle Assessments of food products

This chapter describes the major challenges relating to LCA data and system delimitation when carrying out LCAs on products from the food industry. Food is characterised as a product where emissions related to the feedstock (agriculture) and electricity in the use (and processing) stage can be identified as hotspots.
