A buffer strip of vegetation at least as wide as the stream shall be left
along stream banks whenever possible.
For streams less than 15 feet wide, the buffer zone shall extend at
least 15 feet back from the water's edge.
When using fertilizer to establish areas of new vegetation for soil
stabilization, use mulches to prevent the fertilizer from washing off
the vegetated areas. Apply fertilizer when there is already adequate
soil moisture and little likelihood of immediate heavy rain.
