ECOSYSTEM
2.1 INTRODUCTION
An ecosystem is a community of living organisms (plants, animals and microbes) along with the non-living components of their environment (air, water and mineral soil) which interacts with one another. It includes plants, trees, animals, fish, birds, microorganisms, water, soil and people.
There is an interaction between the variety of organisms and non-living components in the atmosphere. This is called as an ecosystem. If we combine all the ecosystems present on earth, it is called Biosphere. Thus the biosphere is all of the living organisms on Earth. The entire earth can be thought of as a single, very large and complex ecosystem.
