Basic 3D Objects (Standard Primitives)
Almost everything you create in 3ds Max will be based on a
simple object. No matter how complex the render or how
detailed the model, it’s always a simple object at its core.
Take the following, for example.
As complicated as it is, at its core this
dagger is still a collection of vertices and
polygons that can be created by starting
with a simple box.
3ds Max gives you a host of objects
to start with called standard primitives.
These objects are located inside the
Create panel under the Geometry
section.
