For this example we’re going to make a fantasy style dagger.
It’s a fairly simple object but has plenty of surface area for
detail, so we can cover a lot of interesting things in Max. I’ll
provide more detail at the beginning of the process, but later
in the chapter I’ll be giving you more freedom. Let’s get
started!
Creating the Blade
To start out, let’s make a box. I almost always start an object
with a cylinder or a box. Using your snaps in the Top
viewport, let’s make a box with these attributes:
Length: 150
Width: 20
Height: 3
