Breadboard View
The simple single-button synth leaves a lot of room on the breadboard for expansion.
Since the potentiometer is what changes the tone (and is therefore a component you’ll be manipulating a lot), you may want to use one that’s easy to turn by hand. However, the one I suggest for this project will give you finer tuning of the potentiometer’s value.
The color and exact placement of the wires isn’t critical. At this stage, feel free to adjust the layout. Be sure to stick to the wiring of the schematic, though.
