In our first hard surface sculpting project, the Door of Secrets, I showed you a workflow that involved painting textures for use as masks in Photoshop using ZAppLink to help with the hard surface detailing. This time I’m going to show you another way that only limits your hard surface sculpting detail to your polygon count. This time we’ll be making use of Projection Master to give us some very sharp, hard surface details easily. As with the hard surface door for the Guardian project, this isn’t as hard to do as it may appear to be when first looking at the image.
