This book critically introduces and investigates post-Marxist political and critical theory. At the beginning of the third millennium this is an important theoretical task. The end of Cold War antagonism, and subsequent critique of Communism as a viable political alternative to liberal democracies, has resulted in an often resigned acceptance of an emerging global capitalist order.
