7.1 The Reality of Outsourcing According to the American Public

As we return to the macro or broad economic view, let’s look closely at the following four important touch points of public opinion.

I. In a dramatic shift over the last decade, Americans no longer believe we are the leading world economic power.

Figure 7.1 shows that public perception of the economic world leadership in the United States is shown to have dramatically shifted over the past 11 years.
