Synopsis
Provides the ability to keep track of changes that are made to the workbook by highlighting them on the screen. You can then determine whether the changes should be accepted by using the Accept and Reject Changes option.
Highlight Changes
Indicates that you want to highlight the changes that are made to the workbook. When you select this option the Highlight Changes dialog, shown in Figure 8-5, displays so you can indicate which changes you want highlighted.
Note
By selecting the option to highlight changes, the workbook is also saved as a shared workbook. There are certain options that are not available when a workbook is shared. For more information refer to “Tools → Share Workbook.”

Track changes while editing
. Indicates that you want to keep track of the changes to the workbook while it is being edited. If you have already shared the workbook using Tools → Share Workbook and you indicated that you want to track changes, this option will already be selected when you view this dialog. This option must be selected before you can select any of the other options on the dialog.When.
