The Excel Ribbon and Backstage View
The Ribbon is the heart of the Excel user interface. Based on a core of standard tabs, the Ribbon also displays various contextual tabs as needed when you select certain worksheet objects (such as tables, charts, PivotTables, and graphics). The Ribbon brings together almost every command you’re going to need when performing tasks in Excel. See Chapter 1 for basic practice in locating and selecting commands on the Excel Ribbon. Excel also enables you to customize the Ribbon through the creation of your own custom tabs complete with whatever groups of buttons you need to get your work done.
