3.4 The migration process
You are now ready to run the Domino Upgrade Services from the administrator workstation.
Be sure to log on to the Windows NT Domain with an account that has the
Service Account
Admin
role (see Verifying the service account administrator role on page 31) for the
Microsoft Exchange site and server. This gives you full access to all accounts and mailboxes
in the Exchange server directory. In our example, we logged on as an administrator to the
Windows NT domain in which the Microsoft Exchange server is a located.
1. Start the Domino Administrator client from the Lotus Applications Program folder, and log
on using the Domino server Administrators user ID.
2. Ensure that you are connected to the correct Domino server. From the Server Pane of the
Domino Administrator, select your target Domino server.
3. Select File-> Open Server as shown in Figure 3-16.

12.Click OK to continue.
13.The Available people/groups field shows you the list of users from the Microsoft Exchange
Global Address List. Select the users or groups that you want to migrate, and then click
the Add button. In our example, we selected the user M.F.Hussain who is an Exchange
user (Figure 3-24).
Note: We recommend you keep the number of users to be migrated at one time to
approximately 10 users. This is due to the PC memory size of the administration
workstation. For more information on performance considerations, refer to Appendix B,
iSeries sizing and capacity planning considerations on page 165.
