Overview of Digital Dashboards
The purpose of a digital dashboard is to provide an at-a-glance view of information to users, like a driver gets from an automobile dashboard or a pilot receives from an airplane's instrument panel in the cockpit. The Web view technology in Outlook 2000 is perfect for that purpose, allowing you to expand on the concept of Outlook Today to provide even more information in a single view. A screenshot of a sample dashboard is shown in Figure 12.1; this one is part of the Digital Dashboard Starter Kit.
