Ext JS has always provided a class system of its own; this enables developers to write code with a more object-oriented approach, since JavaScript has no classes of its own. Ext JS 4 introduces a new class system to make development easier and more flexible and also introduces some new features. These changes are backward-compatible with the Ext JS 3 class system.
