Adding a combobox to a toolbar to filter a grid

As well as buttons and text, form fields can be easily added to toolbars. We will use this recipe to show you how to place a combobox on a panel's docked toolbar that will then be used to filter the contents of a grid.

We will then expand on this by adding a free-text filter to the grid by positioning a text field on the toolbar.

Getting ready

To get us up and running quickly we will reuse the Invoices Model and Store we used in the previous chapter. If you aren't familiar with them please revisit that chapter and remind yourself of the code.
