Grid component displays data as records in rows and columns. Therefore, it can show a good number of records at a time, especially if it is configured with pagination. A natural consequence of this is the need to be able to edit the records being displayed. Although there will always be many ways of editing records in a grid, such as double-clicking to reveal a form, inline editing turns out to be the simplest and most intuitive approach from the user perspective.
